K. is a 22 year old university student, who was referred to me by another client of mine.

During our intake meeting, she reported that she has been battling anxiety and suffering from Insomnia and digestive issues. She had also been diagnosed with ADHD.

She was aware that so much anxiety and stress in her life was leading to tension and stiffness in her upper body - including neck, shoulders, and upper back. Her energy level and mood were varying day to day. My first impression was the she was not smiling a lot.

She was seeing a therapist and doctor regularly and had a great connection with both. Because of this great support system, she felt comfortable talking openly about these challenges.

Her wellness goals focused on cultivating tools and skills to practice slowing down, both within her physical practice, and to learn how to manage stress and anxiety.

With these goals in mind, we developed a plan and began our sessions.

K. would leave each session with 10-15 minutes of “homework“ and we would start each next session by checking in, and refining the program based on her feedback.

We had 7 sessions in total and towards the end of our time together K. seemed like a different person. Her eating habits became healthier and she lost some weight. She was smiling a lot and her eyes were glowing. She had more energy, her mood improved, and she had clearer plans for her future.

She also had a daily routine for breath, meditation, and physical practices.

When we were saying goodbye she was very grateful and said: “You really had such a profound impact on me. I hope to work with you again in the future!“
